Easter break DYI

As often, Easter break came around sooner than I thought. I promised myself that this time, I would not work on Easter and all of a sudden I had to find a way to keep that promise. Those who know me know that doing ‘nothing at all’ drives me crazy. My head keeps going in circles, thinking about how I should ‘relax’, but in the end does not relax at all.

So, I decided if I wanted to give this ‘break from work’ a chance, I should roll up my sleeves and focus on something. When I moved houses, I bought a cheap bedside table with the idea to refurbish it. The moment of truth – almost eight months later – was last week’s Easter break.

Several runs to the store later, I finally managed to give it a go. I had never done this before and so my expectations were pretty low. But since the bedside table was not the most wonderful piece of furniture anyway, there was not much to lose.

I intended to use this website as a place where people could get to know me (as a person behind the research – mainly by sharing some of my outlets) and my research. So, I took a few pictures as I went along with the bedside table.
